How to Buy Discounted Golf Clubs

Finding discounted golf clubs is not very easy. Golf equipment is always very expensive and can sometimes be absolutely ridiculous. If you know where to look and how to scout out the best deals, however, buying equipment for golfing doesn’t always have to break the bank account. Read on to find out about how the best bargain shopper would go about choosing some new golf clubs for a bargain price.

Every golfer needs his own set of decent golf clubs, which are always readily available at retail and specialty stores. Whether you are looking to shop online or in a brick and mortar store, the same rules apply to finding a good deal. Everyone is advertising their price to be the best, and it can sometimes be difficult to know which one really is the bargain and which advertisement is simply claiming a sale when it is their normal price all along. The best way to learn the answer is to simply shop around and compare the rates of several different stores.

First and foremost, the newspaper is a great resource for finding people who want to unload clubs. They might have specific details, or it may be a vague yard sale ad with the mention of clubs tacked on. You will be able to find many different leads in the paper, and you should follow up on all of them in hopes of finding someone to buy clubs from. You can also head out yard-saling on days that are popular for that kind of thing. Even if they don’t have any specific advertisements for them, you may find some nice clubs. The same goes for flea markets, where you are just as likely to find some very nice clubs as you are to find junk.

You will also want to look for golf clubs at clearance or closeout sales. This could either be at a local brick and mortar store or golf club store. As the primary golfing season draws near an end, retailers offer amazingly deep discounts on all of the sports equipment. The winter months aren’t really perfect golfing conditions, so plan your bargain shopping accordingly and you will be able to find the best deals. You may not be able to use the clubs until spring, but at least you will have them. As long as you are patient enough in finding a good deal, you can wait until next season to enjoy your cheap clubs.

You may not be able to find any deals in stores, but you should consider a quick visit to your nearest golf course. Enquire as to if they have any secondhand golf equipment for sale. In order to make equipment sales, golf courses have to keep the newest and most sought after clubs available for their customers. Therefore, they often have to unload their clubs with earlier model numbers, and this could mean huge cash savings for you if you ask at the right time (right before a new season of golf is about to start). Now you have bought your new clubs enjoy using them out on the golf course and watch your game improve.

How to Buy Discounted Golf Clubs

As you can imagine there are numerous considerations that should be taken into account in order to choose the best golf instructor for a child.  Of course, everyone needs to select an appropriate instructor and choosing an instructor can be a huge decision to make, but when you are selecting the instructor for a child there are several additional considerations that should be taken into account.  Never rush into picking the first instructor that you find for your child, this can be a very big mistake, instead take the time to ensure that you pick out the best instructor possible that will allow your child to grow and develop into the best golfer possible.

You want to first start out by searching for someone who is experienced.  This will allow you to find the most experienced instructor possible.  Because children learn differently than adults, you need a highly experienced instructor.  Someone who has just started teaching is generally not the best choice of instructors because they generally lack the ability to tailor lessons to a level that a child can understand.

Additional considerations are you want someone who has verifiable references.  Especially helpful is if they can provide references for children that they have taught.  While you generally will not be able to talk to the child, you can at least talk to the parent.  This will allow you to talk to someone that has experience with the instructor that you are considering to see how well they worked with children.  As you can imagine this can be very helpful in deciding which instructor is really best for your child.

You should also try to find an instructor that works with children.  This will allow you to have the best possible match for your child.  Even if they are not currently instructing other children at the time, experience working with children should be a must.  The amount of skill as well as patience that is required to teach children is very much different than the amount of time and patience that is required to teach adults.

Someone who has an attitude or a rough instructional style is generally not a good match for children.  You want someone who has a very friendly and cheerful disposition to teach your child.  This will allow your child to look forward to going to their golfing lessons, rather than be upset when it is time to actually go for lessons.  A child who enjoys going and actually enjoys their instructor is much more likely to appreciate the instructor than someone who dislikes their instructor.

Always set up a time for your child to meet the potential instructor.  You want to ensure that your child feels comfortable with the instructor so arranging a time when everyone can meet and talk for a few minutes with no pressures is a really good idea.  This is usually much cheaper than paying for a full session of lessons that are not used.  Especially since most instructors will provide a free initial meeting this gives a perfect time to meet.  Some instructors will also provide a free or greatly reduced initial lesson as well, if the instructor offers this it is very wise to take them up on it.  You can learn a lot by watching their actual teaching style to see how they interact specifically with your child during a lesson.

Take the time to really look around; you should avoid jumping to the first instructor that you find.  Your child needs someone who can help them expand their skills in a friendly and encouraging environment.  Stressing out and screaming is something that an instructor should not do with a child, there should be no temper tantrums under any circumstances so if you notice the instructor behaves this way, find someone else.  Never ignore your gut instincts; this is the perfect chance to allow you to really see what your child can do with the right instructor.

How to Buy Discounted Golf Clubs

There are very few people who actually have a good reason for purchasing a golf cart for their own personal usage, but if you decide that you do need a golf cart there are a few things that you should keep in mind so that you can make the best purchase decision possible.  Of course purchasing a used model will allow you to save a lot of money, but you should know what you are looking at when you look to buy a golf cart in order to ensure that you get a good deal, rather than waste your money on something that does you no good.

Your first step if you want to look into purchasing a golf cart for your own personal use at a golf course is to find out if the course even allows you to use a cart on the course.  Many do not allow carts, however many others do.  The main reason you may want to purchase a golf cart is if you live on a golf course and would rather drive the cart to the clubhouse rather than your actual car.

With the increasing expenses for gas alone, this can be a huge savings over several years and more than pay for the expense of the golf cart itself.  However, still check with your local area to ensure that it will not be a problem driving it on the roads in your area, as well as with the golf course to ensure that it is ok with them.

Once you have done all of the research for your area you have several things that you need to consider.  An electric golf cart is obviously a much wiser and cheaper purchase in the long run.  Not only are you not having to purchase gasoline continuously but there are typically fewer parts that may need to be repaired or fixed as well.  This will make the maintenance expenses much cheaper as well which will allow you to get further usage from the golf cart before it needs to be replaced or repaired.

As you look around at golf carts, you need to look for a cart that has a new battery as well as battery connectors.  You should also look for a cart that has a nice clean connector and charger that looks in good condition.  The cart itself should be clean and in good working order.

Never purchase a cart that is not working with the hopes that you can fix it cheaply.  Many times this turns into a nightmare project because of the continuous repairs that are needed.  If the cart does not operate correctly at the time of purchase, you simply should move on.

You want to also ensure that you can take the cart for a test drive.  If you are not able to take the cart for a drive, you should walk away.  If you do take it for a test drive ensure that you can stop within a space of 10-15 feet without sliding.  Golf courses are not going to appreciate you bringing a cart to the green that can cause damage of any sort.  You also want to check the steering and ensure that the cart turns properly.

Your final consideration should be looking at all of the wheels to ensure that they are in good shape.  With a bit of careful research and knowing what you are looking for you can save as much as 75% off the price of a new golf cart by purchasing a used model.

Lastly, for our Hummer loving friends (who simply  ”must have”),  if in the market for a new Hummer like cart - and some extra funds to spare – well, they make that too !

See you next time,

Continuing…..

Another piece of great advice is to not spend too much money on your clubs. It’s tempting to buy the best clubs in hopes that they will immediately rocket you to golfing success, but it is usually a waste of money. Figure out a reasonable amount that you would like to spend on your golf clubs, and then do not stray from this amount. Golf store employees will be able to point you towards golf clubs that are within your range, and hopefully have some of the features that you are looking for.

If you are feeling really adventurous, then you might check somewhere more obscure for your golf clubs. Auctions and pawn shops usually tend to have at least a few options. As long as you can look at the clubs and decide for yourself if they have what you are looking for, it might just be an excellent deal.

While you are still in the market, you should certainly try out as many golf clubs as you can until you find the ones that you are most comfortable with. Whether this means simply borrowing your golfing buddy’s club for one stroke or going to the club store every day to try out a few more, you will find that the more you try the better you will be able to make your final choice.

If you have hands-on experience with every material, length, and head style, you will know what combination will suit you best – and you’ll end up light years ahead of our friend above.

Trying out a bunch of different golf clubs will rarely present a problem, since most golfers are happy to show off their nice and expensive golf clubs and stores mostly have some sort of policy regarding the testing of equipment.

If you utilize the techniques and ideas found here, you will almost certainly have a happier experience when buying golf clubs. It is not about how much your golf clubs cost, it is about buying the best clubs to help your golf game improve.

Happy Hunting,

How to Buy Discounted Golf Clubs

When you are learning golf make sure you have equipment that suits your skill level. When you are first starting out with golf, you will want to have equipment that is geared more towards your skill level than anything else. If you decide that you are crazy about golfing and you want to spend thousands of dollars on the most deluxe clubs available, you are likely to encounter nothing but frustration.

The more expensive clubs are meant to be played on by experts, so your lower skill level is just going to clash with their design, and you will be left with a bunch of clubs that you utterly despise, and paid a huge amount of money for. Therefore any beginning golfer should carefully choose the clubs that they buy based on a few different things, rather than just the reviews and price tag.

If you consider these things, you will be a happier golfer in the long run, and you will most likely be able to increase your skill level at a much higher rate.

The main thing you want to look for in golf clubs is flexibility. I’m not talking about the kind of flexibility that determines how much your golf club bends when you swing it. I’m talking about the kinds of golf clubs that are very forgiving to those who don’t have as much of an idea as to what they are doing.

The best kind of flexible golf club is the one that is adjustable. Rather than deciding on set measurements and details, you can spend a little bit extra and get golf clubs that are able to change at the flick of the wrist.

Since you are a beginner and your gameplay habits have not fully developed (or perhaps have not even begun to develop), it’s best to play it safe until you can have a better idea as to what you personally need in order to succeed.
